MINUTES CLEAN ENERGY TASK FORCE – MAY 21,2009
The meeting was held in the Mary Hawley Room at the Town hall and was called to order at 7:40 by the Chairperson Dan Holmes.
PRESENT: Ryan Clancy, Dan Holmes, Ted Kreinik , Kathy Quinn. ABSENT: Pam Buchler, Neil Perone, Dave Stout, Ben Toby.
COMMUNICATIONS: None
ACCEPTANCE OF APRIL MINUTES: Ted made a motion to accept the minutes from the Meeting of April 16th, Ryan seconded.
PUBLIC COMMENT: None
OLD BUSINESS:
A. Earth Day – Dan reported that we had 40 vendors this year and that the turnout was much higher than last year. Overall the event was well received and successful. Recommendations on how to further improve this event were being collected.
B. 5K Grant – still needs to be addressed.
NEW BUSINESS:
A. Meeting with Legislative Council: Dan and Ted reported on their meeting with the Board of Selectmen where they presented our plan to turn our ad-hoc committee into a full fledged Commission. The idea was approved by the Selectmen and our next step will be to present to the Legislative Council. Ted will send the Council members copies of our proposal prior to that meeting.
B. Constellation: Dan will follow up with Terrence and the Board of Ed to find out the details of the contract.
C. Next Meeting Date: June 18, 2009
